The End Game

Spill the Tea - Blog Version

I recently had a content strategy consultation with one of my brand photo clients. We discussed Instagram strategies and how to make the most use out of their new photos and videos.

She asked me - “What’s the end game for Instagram?”

My honest answer? There is no end game.

Instagram is a powerful, free marketing tool but it’s just one piece of the puzzle.

When used consistently and with the right strategies, it can definitely bring in new leads. But to truly get the most out of it you need a holistic approach.

Here’s how Instagram fits into your sales funnel:

Top of the Funnel: Regular posting keeps you top of mind. Your audience sees you daily, making it easier for them to remember and recommend you. This is where they start to engage with your brand.

Middle of the Funnel: As you nurture these relationships, people start to refer you, ask questions, inquire about pricing, and sign up for your email list. Instagram plays a role, but so do your efforts in networking, podcasting, blogging, and optimizing your website’s SEO.

Bottom of the Funnel: This is where sales happen. You’ve built the relationship, made the offer, and now it’s time to close. Whether through Instagram DMs, 1:1 calls, or coffee meetings, the choice is yours.

I’ve had a lot of success getting clients from Instagram, but it’s important to remember—it’s just one part of your strategy. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
